Managing DVM
Ashley Robinson
Dr. Ashley Robinson was born and raised in Oregon where she went to Oregon State University for her undergraduate in Biology and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree. She spent one year practicing in small animal medicine before moving to the western slope of Colorado to practice in a mixed animal rural clinic for a year. She then moved back to her home state of Oregon to start a family. This is when she became the Medical Director at a VCA hospital in Eugene for six years, which was an opportunity to challenge and grow professionally and personally. The opportunity to return to Colorado arose, allowing her to continue practicing small animal medicine, and her interests in acupuncture, rehabilitation, and sports medicine developed.
With Dr. Robinson's goals to pursue acupuncture and rehabilitation certifications, she joined the team at Advanced Animal Care to bring back physical therapy and rehabilitation practices to the clinic in the next 1-2 years. The opportunity to return to a leadership role arose, and Dr. Robinson is now the Managing DVM at Advanced Animal Care. Dr. Robinson believes that building an engaged and passionate team, providing the highest standards of care, and ensuring clients are heard, are the most impactful aspects of veterinary medicine.
Outside of the veterinary hospital, Dr. Robinson enjoys spending family time with her husband, Derek, and two little boys (Whisler and Wauker)! They enjoy being outdoors, hiking, camping, swimming and snowmobiling. She is an avid runner and is always training for a new race, purely for joy! She also has three German Shorthaired Pointers, who she trains and races at sled dog competitions in Skijor and Bikejor.
